Willow Class Assembly Willow Class performed their 'Spider and the Fly' Class Assembly for the rest of the school today. Festival of Languages 2019 We travelled the globe and had so much fun Travelling To and From William Ransom During this academic year we would like to raise the profile of sustainable ways to travel to and from school. We recognise that many of you already walk to school and last year we encouraged more children to walk or scoot to school. Willow's World Tour Willow was wowed by today's Festival of Languages as it gave them the opportunity to learn so much about countries around the world. Information from Mrs Driver We are extremely lucky at school to have such wonderful kitchen staff working with us. Mrs Matthews & Mrs Lemm, as our school cooks, have been with us for a number of years and they are passionate about delivering high quality food for your children. Subtraction - it's not hard enough! This week Willow Class has been looking at subtraction by decomposition and decided that the work was just not hard enough! Year 3 trip to Celtic Harmony Last week Year 3 visited Celtic Harmony for a trip to the Stone Age! Feel the Force Willow has started their science unit on Forces with a hands-on lesson of investigation. Settling into Holly class It’s great to see all the children in Holly class settling into our lessons and routines. Welcome to our new House Captains Our new house captains for 2019 - 2020 were announced today! Flying Kites! Ash class have had lots of fun on Kite Day. They decorated their kites with colourful stickers before having a go on a bouncy castle and slide. They then flew their kites on the school field. Bouncy castle fun Bouncy castle early morning fun for Oak class. The William Ransom Orbit Anything Can Happen if you Let It! That is the message Mary Poppins gives us at the end of our summer show this year and I like to think this is the message we give everyone in school. Pirate Day! It was Pirate Day in Ash Class today and they did a fantastic job of dressing up for the occasion. Bread Rolls 'Prove' a Success Today was bread day in Willow Class as they each made a bread roll of their creation - one savoury and one sweet. Pirate day What a great day we had being pirates! The fire service visit Ash Class! Today we were very fortunate to be visited in school by the local fire service. They talked to the children about fire safety and showed the special clothes they wear when they are working. Year 3 Meet the Teacher presentation Meet the teacher presentation for Year 3 parents.
