Feeling Good Week Feeling Good Week was a great success again this year Christmas Cakes in Design and Technology We made and decorated Christmas Cakes in Design and Technology Beech Class received a Big Friendly Welcome at The Roald Dahl Museum Beech Class went to The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre today as part of their unit on James and The Giant Peach. They got to create their own characters, discover things about his life and look around the village where he lived. Beech Class take a fresh look at Art Beech Class have been studying ‘Viewpoints’ for their first Art topic this year and so have been looking at things from a different angle, seeing things in a different way. The Great Fire of William Ransom Year One travelled back in time to Sunday 2nd September 1666. The children looked amazing all dressed up in their Tudor clothing! Autumn term art around the school Look at the art that is on display around the school. This artwork was produced in the first half of the autumn term. A busy half term in Holly class! Here is some of the exciting work that has been going on in Holly class this half term. Ronald Weasley visits Year 1! Last week, Year 1 were visited by Ronald Weasley – the hedgehog! Role play Mosque in Cedar Class On Tuesday, Cedar classroom was transformed into a prayer hall and the class enjoyed a role play about going to a Mosque. Willow Class visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour We had a fantastic day out at the Warner Bros Studio Tour discovering how the Harry Potter books took the world by storm and how the stories were brought to life in the film series. Stone Age Artists Year 3 created some great Stone Age inspired Art work last week. Jamie Bond Needed Our Help To rousing 007 music, Jamie Bond made a plea to Willow Class to help him catch the baddies. Willow Class Assembly Willow Class performed their 'Spider and the Fly' Class Assembly for the rest of the school today. Festival of Languages 2019 We travelled the globe and had so much fun Travelling To and From William Ransom During this academic year we would like to raise the profile of sustainable ways to travel to and from school. We recognise that many of you already walk to school and last year we encouraged more children to walk or scoot to school. Willow's World Tour Willow was wowed by today's Festival of Languages as it gave them the opportunity to learn so much about countries around the world. Mrs Matthews & Mrs Lemm, as our school cooks, have been with us for a number of years and they are passionate about delivering high quality food for your children.
