A beautiful day in London to see The Lion King

Chestnut and Cherry Class had a wonderful day in London last week.  The day started with an informative walk around London, viewing some of London's attractions such as Trafalgar Square, Horse Guards Parade, Downing Street, The Mall and Buckingham Palace.  We had beautiful weather for lunch in St James Park surrounded by daffodils and took the opportunity for a run around and to play some games.

Lion King was, as always, amazing and the children loved every moment and  we hope to put some of their Thank You letters to the cast and crew on the website soon.

During the interval, children enjoyed ice creams and having a look through the programmes they had ordered.

After the show, we were lucky enough to get a back stage tour.  Members of staff from Disney talked to the children about costumes and masks and answered all of the many questions the children had.

Before setting off for home, Disney took lots of photographs of all of our Year 6 children outside the theatre.  These photos are going to be used for some of their publicity work as we were the one millionth educational group to watch Lion King.

A fantastic day!
