The reception classes have been busy in their first few weeks at school. We discovered that one of our class dinosaurs was turning 5 so we decided to throw him a birthday party. This involved making birthday cards, decorations and decorating biscuits. We really enjoyed playing dinosaur party games.
As we will soon be visiting Wimpole Farm, we have been reading lots of stories about farms. We read Rosie's Walk and explored positional language as we recreated Rosie's walk around our playground. We also read the Little Red Hen. We made puppets to use in retelling the story and we learned how to make bread like the Little Red Hen!
