This week, we had an incredibly inspiring talk by a famous artist – Andy Warhol came to visit! We learnt a huge amount about the artist's life, how he lived and how he always wanted his art to stand out as 'different'.
Some of us were particularly impressed with the fact that, when he was young, he won an art competition by splashing a can full of paint onto a piece of paper.
After the talk about Andy Warhol's life, we learnt techniques about shading and tone and how to sketch a face effectively. We carefully chose our individual colour palettes and set to work. It was great to have a whole day dedicated to Art and here are some of our portraits.
