Beech Class visit the Natural History Museum

Beech Class had a fantastic time at the Natural History Museum in Tring. We had great fun exploring the museum and finding out lots of facts about animals.

The museum has six galleries with over 4,000 animals on display.  We found out that the largest animal in the Museum is the southern elephant seal and the smallest is a pair of fleas!

When we first got to the museum we started to look at the different animals in the cases.  We had a worksheet to complete and we followed a trail around the museum to find the answers. We also had a workshop where we were split into groups and each group was given a real skull of an animal.  We had to try to guess which animal it was and then what food it ate by looking at its teeth.
