Bring your teddy to school

An exciting week all about teddy bears as the children in Oak class welcomed their teddy to William Ransom. The bears were described in the children’s writing and had their portraits painted. There was lots of discussion about the bears and comparisons made to the group of ‘old teddies’ which will form a display table in our class museum next week.

On Thursday Kate from Stevenage museum will be bringing in lots of old toys for us to investigate. We would really appreciate it if any of the children could bring in toys that belonged to their parents or grandparents. All toys will be looked after and examined with care.

Bird watching has been an important feature of our science work as we learnt about the birds that frequent our gardens and school grounds. Making bird feeders and watching out for the birds we have learnt about will continue into next week as we go out with the binoculars.
