As the weather becomes nicer and we move into Summer Term in April, the children will spend their lunchtime on the field with the rest of the school. For lots of children this is super exciting and they enjoy the freedoms playing on the field gives. For a few, however, leaving the safety of our Reception playground can be a daunting time to start with. To help their transition we assign the children a Buddy from Year 6, who they can look out for and play with should they wish. Yesterday the children met their Buddies and spent some time with them sharing stories. It was fantastic to see the Year 6 children take real care and the Reception children all had such a lovely time. Lots of children are already asking when they will be allowed on the field!
