Busy Weeks for the School Council

The School Council members have been busy in the last few weeks. They ran three stalls at the Winter Wonderland and have collected food in support of the 'Letchworth Foodbank'.

Lots of members of the School Council were able to help to run the stalls at the Winter Wonderland which involved guessing the name of the teddy, guessing where the treasure was hidden on the treasure map and guessing the Minion's birthday. They did a fantastic job on the day and £93.50 was raised for the School Council fund. Members of the School Council will be able to decide how this money is spent, in consultation with their classes.

Last week they joined forces with the Orbit team and organised a collection for the Letchworth Foodbank, who distribute food to those in Hitchin, Letchworth and Baldock who may otherwise go hungry. Having sent letters home to parents, members of the School Council and the Orbit were on hand to sort out the donations and pack them up into boxes on Tuesday. Some members of the teams were also able to accompany staff to deliver the goods to the Hitchin collection point. We were totally overwhelmed by the generosity of the donations made, so thank you very much to all who supported this very worthy cause.
