Carnival comes to William Ransom!

Beech class have had an enjoyable five weeks learning and practising their Batucada patterns and finally got to share it with the rest of the school today.

Each child had a chance to play each instrument over the course of the lessons and did well to learn each instruments pattern. They also developed their listening skills with some games that tested their timing and rhythm. Every lesson began with the ‘Hello’ warm up where the children learnt to say, clap and stamp to a song.

The video of the performance shows just how well they picked up the different patterns and how easily they could follow the cues because even though they didn’t know what was coming next, they knew what to play from following the cues. These performances were their best yet and demonstrate just what they can achieve in half a term.
