Our week of books started with an afternoon visit to Hitchin Library on Monday. On arrival we were greeted by one of the librarians who talked to us about how the library system works and what is on offer to members.
We then went on to play a game where we had to guess the story book character which we were quite good at!
After the game we got to look at some of the books and explore the children’s area of the library.
To finish off, the librarian read us a great book called ‘The Aliens are Coming’ which was very funny and had some brilliant illustrations.
As part of our Literacy work this week we have been watching the film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s ‘The BFG’ and are in the midst of creating storyboards.
In Art we studied the illustrations of Quentin Blake and drew one of Roald Dahl’s characters in his style.
