Class 3 have been learning about life in Britain in the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. As part of their studies, they spent a day at Celtic Harmony Camp learning about what life was ilke for a Celtic warrior in the Iron Age.
We were met at the hillfort gate by our warrior guides who took us back in time to experience life as a warrior in an Iron Age settlement. There were lots of interesting activities to take part in throughout the day which allowed the children to experience what life might have been like in the Iron Age. They had an opportunity to search for runes in a woodland quest, have a go at archery, trade goods, make rush headbands, paint each others faces with warrior symbols, learn about roundhouses and take part in warrior training.
