Lauren has written about the Girls’ Football Tournament.

Girls Football Tournament

The girl’s football team went out to Wilshire Dacre School to play a football tournament against lots of different schools. We started off by practising passes and some of the girls were having penalty shots against me in goal. The positions were: Lauren D in goal, Rebecca, Ella and Lauren P as the defenders, Zoe and Annabel in the centre and Rachel up front.

The girls started off to a storm with 2 goals from Rachel and nil to Pixmore School. The girls continuously won all their matches until they got to the semi-finals against St.Ippolyts and amazingly one two goals to nil both goals scored by Rachel.

The Girls got to the finals which was a tough game. The game went in to extra time. But Annabel saved the day with an amazing goal which made it one goal to William Ransom and none to Samuel Lucas. The Girls went on to win the shield.

Overall we all had a great evening and here is a big thank you to everyone who attended the tournament and a big thank you to Mrs.Light and Mr.Light for being our excellent coaches!
