Today we have spent the day in the company of David Hockney. He told the whole school the story of his life so far and shared some of his art work with us all.
After talking to the whole school David showed Key Stage 1 how he starts off with drawing, making sure everyone knew how to hold a pencil and how to draw the different shapes in trees.
After lunch he showed us how he approaches his paintings and then all Key Stage 1 classes spent the afternoon painting in the style of Hockney.
