On Saturday 27th September William Ransom A-team footballers took part in the Early Season Rally at Whitehill School. This rally divides the Hitchin schools into two leagues and each school usually plays about four short games with no finals, shields or recognition of a final winner. It is just a chance for the schools to play a series of games and get to see the range of ‘talent’ of Hitchin youngsters at the start of the new season.
Unfortunately Cockernhoe and St. Ippolyts failed to turn up. William Ransom was scheduled to play both schools and so we arranged to substitute these two schools for two others to ensure the boys had as much playing time as possible. The results of the day were:
