Fingers all accounted for!

Class 3 has been using hack saws and learning how to saw safely as part of their unit of work in DT.

As part of this unit, the children firstly designed and made their own highly decorated cardboard photo frames and moved on to making a contemporary design, which may end up under the Christmas tree for some of you!

To end the unit (and bring on Mrs Burr's labour!) the children have been sawing to make cook book stands as class presents for our TAs.

The children have loved the challenge, although found sawing really tricky – especially at an angle. However, they looked great and enjoyed the experience of sharp blades and silly goggles!
