Information from Mrs Driver

I have had many discussions with parents and staff about the number of parents waiting in the playgrounds in the morning. It does make it increasingly difficult for children to make their way onto the playground in the morning and we do not know who is actually on site. There are staff on the playground from 8.35 so you can leave your children quite safely. I do not wish to stop parents coming on to the playground but I would ask you to keep a path clear for the children. Think how a crowd of people must look when you are a child!

Please avoid going down onto the Key Stage 2 playground in the morning. It does get very congested around the steps.  Please remember the bell goes at 8.45; if your child arrives in school after this time they are regarded as late.  The issue is slightly different at the end of the day where we would ask that you avoid bringing scooters and /or bike onto the playground. It is just too crowded!

I am sure you will be delighted to hear that Mrs Burr is expecting her second baby in January. She will remain teaching Class 3 for as long as possible before the birth of the baby. I am sure you will join me in congratulating Mr & Mrs Burr on this wonderful news.

Don’t forget we are looking for nominations for Parent Governors and the SPA. If you are unsure about either role, please come in and have a chat with me!

Don’t forget the SPA Treasure Hunt this coming Sunday – 20th September at 2.00pm. Tickets can be ordered from any SPA member or simply turn up on the day! The weather forecast is dry so I look forward to seeing you there!

Please remember if you have any concerns about your child at school, do not hesitate to come in to see me. I look forward to seeing you in school in the very near future.

Yours sincerely

Mary Driver
