On Friday 18th October Classes 1R, 1/2 and 2 took part in an Activity day. They had to rotate round three activities – painting, indoor athletics and orienteering. The children’s painting work was inspired by the book ‘Room on the Broom’ and they could choose which character to paint. The Athletics took place in the Hall and everyone had a turn at the long jump, speed bounce, javelin, shot put and balance bar. The orienteering was an Autumn themed activity and the children had to hunt outside for things like acorns, beech nuts, cobwebs and Autumn leaves. It was an exciting day and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Many thanks to all the parent volunteers who helped us out with running the activities.
