Latest update from Mrs Driver

Already we are over half way to half term and hopefully we are finished with the snow! However, you can never be too sure! Thank you for your support during the inclement weather and for making the snow trees work. These emergency procedures would be used in any major event if we had to close the school so please make sure you always know where they are!

We are now looking forward to a range of events which will be happening over the next few weeks. On Wednesday 8th February we have a Citizenship Evening to explain to Y5 & Y6 parents the issues covered during Citizenship week with the pupils, we are going to hold an ICT Information Evening on 27th February to inform all parents about the ICT work done in school and an E-safety Evening on 18th March on how to keep your child safe on the internet. Letters will be going home prior to these events to give you an opportunity to book seats.

The children are also involved in a range of different activities at the moment. We have dancers preparing for The County Dance festival, rehearsals have started for The Lion King and our new Spanish Club for Y5 pupils starts this term. These are all on top of the daily classwork activities which are on-going. Hopefully you will see many of the different activities going on when you visit on Open Morning which is on Tuesday 12th March. Please note the change of date due to the County Dance Festival.

I look forward to seeing you in school at one of these events, but in the meantime if you have any concerns please feel free to make an appointment to come and talk to me.
