The children made robin tree decorations from pompoms for the Hitchin Christmas tree festival.
During English, Cherry and Chestnut Class experimented with creating raps. We then had a Rap Battle. A group of Year 5 girls won with their rap about caring for the environment.
As part of their R.E. topic of the Christmas story, the children made Christingles before lighting them outside in the playground.
As their contribution to the school Christmas show, Cherry class told the story, “The Best Christmas Present in the World”.
As part of literacy, the children wrote and practised performing their own raps before taking part in a good-natured “rap battle” before a panel of judges!
