The first round of hockey for the Herts School games was held at Knights Templar on 22nd May.
William Ransom played three games in their first round.The first game against St. Christopher’s was won by William Ransom 7-1 with Oliver and Catherine being the main scorers and Halcyon and Tyler defending well.
The second game against Sandon was won 7-0 by William Ransom with Edward, Tyler, Oliver and Catherine scoring and Sam getting a chance to join Tyler in defence.
The third game against quite an experienced team of St. Andrew’s players was won by William Ransom 5-1 with Oliver and Catherine scoring the goals.
As winners of the group William Ransom went forward to meet Our Lady in the final. It was a really exciting final the score being 4-4 at full time. The children had to play extra time of 4 minutes and luckily for William Ransom they managed to win 2-1. The game could have gone either way and there was superb play from both teams and congratulations to all team members.
