The summer fete on Saturday was a roaring success! The rain didn’t dampen our spirits and we are very grateful to everyone that came to support the school.
An astonishing £7500 was raised! This will help replace some reading books, get some class readers for all key stage 2 classes, have some new murals painted around the school and also it will enable the school to purchase some new play equipment for all classes. It also allows the school to arrange some special event days for the children which otherwise couldn’t go ahead.
The scale of this event is only possible because of the tireless efforts of the SPA members and parent volunteers who planned the event, manned the stalls and helped to clear up afterwards. Thank you to everyone involved!
We are currently looking for five new members to join the SPA Committee to replace those leaving at the end of the year. If you are able to volunteer some of your free time to arrange fundraisers for the school, please contact me on kthompson1977@gmail.com or speak to Mrs. Driver.
