On Friday, the SPA hosted another successful Quiz and Curry Night. We are very grateful to Milisha from Bluebells Children’s Centre for cooking all the food for us – it was delicious!
Our special thanks go out to Mr Peter Carmody and Mr Robert Driver, both of whom worked very hard in the kitchen! Thank you to Mrs Brigid Bassindale for compiling such an entertaining quiz and for being an amazing Quiz Master on the night.
We sold 86 tickets and raised approximately £700 towards paying for the 2-day Forensic Science Workshop which the children enjoyed last week. Thank you to the parents, teachers, TAs and everyone who supported this fundraising effort. It was such a fun evening with lots of friendly competition, but there can only be one winner…. Mrs Mills and her team were deserving champions!
In May, we have two events which we hope you will attend. On Friday, 10th May, we will host an adult only Race Night in the school and on Saturday, 11th May, we will once again take part in the ‘Fair on the Square’ which is held annually in the Town Square. Booking forms will be sent out before half term for Race Night and we hope we can fill the hall with parent supporters.
The ‘Fair in the Square’ is a community event with all the local schools taking part in collective fundraising. We will need parent volunteers to man the Bowling Alley between the hours of 10am until 2pm and I will send out a letter before half term for parents to sign up to a slot.
If you have any feedback or ideas for future events, please e-mail me on firstname.lastname@example.org
All the very best
