Today we were very fortunate to be visited in school by the local fire service. They talked to the children about fire safety and showed the special clothes they wear when they are working. Mrs Moriarty was lucky enough to get a chance to try on the clothes!
After that, Ash Class went out to the car park to where the fire engine was parked. They had a chance to spray the powerful hoses onto the field and to have a look inside the fire engine. The children asked some great questions and learnt a lot.
