Dear Parents
It is 4 weeks until the Summer Fete (11th of June), and we’d like to invite you and your families and friends to join us for this biggest fund-raising event of the school year. We need you to come, help, donate, but most important have fun at the Summer Fete!
terms of donations, we are currently looking for the following in particular:
– Raffle donations
– Bottles for the bottle tombola
– Plant stall (we are looking for plants you have grown and would like to donate) – please see the Plant Stall letter sent on 29th of April).
In addition, we always welcome any new or second hand clothes, toys etc., but this time we are asking you to bring these into school closer to the fete and preferably the week before the fete commencing on 6th of June because we are constrained on storage.
We kindly ask for no donations of books, because we have nowhere to store them due to ongoing construction works!
This year’s theme is Where’s Wally? and we would love to see you dressed as Where’s Wally? characters! And for entertainment we have invited Jungle Jo who will bring her exotic animals, such as snakes, scorpions, giant snails, frogs, tarantulas, millipedes and many more!
For those who aren’t fans of Where’s Wally or creepy crawlies, don’t despair because there will be all the usual festivities that you’ve come to expect from our Summer Fete. We hope it’s going to be a fantastic day and we hope you will spread the word and invite people along.
That being said, there is no way that the fete will be able to take place without your help. We need people to volunteer to help out on a stall, and we would love you to sign up to run a stall or help set up or clear out after the event. Simply put down your name on the rota at the reception and be there on the day.
We would appreciate if you could sign up as soon as possible in order to avoid any last minute panic! We really are very grateful for your continued support and look forward to seeing you all on the 11th June.
