Welcome to the fifth year of The Orbit, our school newspaper.
The Orbit began in 2010 with a team of nine Key Stage 2 pupils who have now all left William Ransom and gone to Secondary school. We were lucky enough to have Adam Mills (Mrs Mills’ son), who was a pupil at Hitchin Boys school at the time, come and help us get the newspaper up and running and he helped us produce the first three editions. Each year a new team of Key Stage 2 pupils work on articles for the Newspaper and a copy is produced each term. Each team brings with them new ideas which I think has helped to develop The Orbit into a great newspaper produced by the children of William Ransom.
The team this year consists of Alex, Ema, Sana, Srihan, Sam, Prerika, Wathaq and
Abigail. The team have worked really hard to produce some interesting articles which we hope you will enjoy reading. We hope you will enter our competitions, a colouring competition for Key Stage 1 and a quiz for Key Stage 2, there will be prizes for
the winners.
