The William Ransom Orbit

It is lovely that at last the weather is starting to warm up and there are some definite signs of spring!

This has been a really busy term, as always, but we have also had some very exciting events. Our World Book Day was fantastic! I can’t remember having so much fun in one day, I quite enjoyed being Dumbledore! What I was particularly proud of, was the fact that everyone still carried on with their school work as if there was nothing out of the ordinary!

Sometimes when we get to the end of a term, it is a sad time because we have to say goodbye to certain people. At the end of this term we are saying goodbye to Mrs Grundon. I always say that every school should have a ‘Mrs Grundon’; she has been there for all of us if we have had a bad day! She has helped sort out friendships and bandaged lots of cut knees and elbows. She has worked in the school for 27 years and we are really going to miss her. However, I know she will be around and will come and see us all regularly. I am sure you will all join me in wishing her a long and happy retirement.

We have also started to see the first stages of our building work! Some of the trees have gone and we have lost some of our field but it will all be worth it in the end! Hopefully there will be some dramatic changes over the Easter holidays so let’s see what happens!

Now we can look forward to all the exciting things the summer term brings, and hopefully we will see our new teaching block arrive and be put together and our newly expanded school will start to take shape!

Have a lovely holiday and I look forward to seeing you all on 19th April!
