Willow Class have been very busy over the Easter holidays raising money for the children that we sponsor through Compassion UK. This year, the children decided to give their time to do jobs and to help others in return for sponsorship.
The list of jobs completed was both varied and impressive. The children: vacuumed, gardened, fed and walked pets, emptied and loaded dishwashers, helped to put pictures up, cleared and set tables, washed cars, took rubbish out, sorted recycling, tidied various rooms, looked after younger siblings and cousins, helped cook dinner, put shopping away and even put on music concerts. What a busy Class!
I hope that the children enjoyed this challenge and that they surprised themselves (and their parents!) with their ability to do so much to help others.
Our aim was to raise at least £1 per child but we exceeded this amount (and then some!) so we would like to say a huge thank you to all our sponsors and to let you know that your support is very much appreciated.
