What an Exciting Sport Relief Day we have had!

Wow! What an amazing day we have had!

Sport Relief 2014 came to William Ransom in a big way! We started the day with the Sport Relief Song and Dance on the playground which woke us all up!

Lots of pupils took part in the Sport Relief Quiz at Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. These were marked by their teachers and the winners were presented in our end of the day assembly. Well done to Alfred, Noah and William for winning at Key Stage 1 and Leighton and Charlie for winning at Key Stage 2.

Throughout the day everyone has run, jogged or walked at least a mile. The reception class all did it on their scooters – so that was something different! Everyone else had to go round the field five times. Dain, our Sports Apprentice marked out the route for us and kept a close eye on everyone to make sure they didn’t cheat! Dain actually ran 6 miles so he was our Sports Relief Champion! Every class awarded a medal to someone who impressed their teacher the most with their style, their stamina or their attitude and Mrs Driver awarded a medal to the person who smiled the most whilst they were walking!

The staff took part in the Sport Relief Sweepstake to guess what song Ellie Simmonds listened to before she swam in her Olympic Winning Race. Mrs Mills won by guessing Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid!

The day ended with a final assembly where we celebrated everyone’s achievement and we sang and danced the Sport Relief song!

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you for all the donations. So far we have raised £413.21 and more money is expected on Monday!
