What is happening in school at the moment?

There is so much going on in school at the moment it is hard to know where to begin!

For the first time ever we are taking part in the Recycled Fashion Show at St Christopher’s School in Letchworth. Miss Eldridge, along with Mrs Grundon and Mrs Cooke, has been working with a group of Year 5 girls in a recycled fashion club and they have put together three fantastic dresses along the theme of Cinderella. Three girls will be modelling these at the Fashion Show on the 2nd March and the others will be there as dressers and designers. It is a fantastic opportunity for the girls and we look forward to finding out how they get on.

We also have children taking part in the Science Fair at Hitchin Girls’ School. This involves a group of our Year 6 pupils putting together a display for the Science Fair and they will make a presentation to a selection of judges throughout the evening. This will be on March 11th and we wish them well.

Later that week we have a group of Year 5 & Year 6 dancers taking part in the County Dance Festival in St. Albans. They are performing a dance which has been produced as part of a collaboration project with Hitchin Girls’ School. Their students have choreographed the piece and have worked with our pupils to put the dance together. Many of us will go along to the County Dance Festival to support our dancers and to watch the dance, which will also be shown during Open Morning.

This is just a small indication of what is going on in school at the moment. There are lots of other things as well and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to keep up to date with everything through the website and Twitter.

Of course, as always, if there is anything you would like to discuss with me, please do not hesitate to make an appointment with the school office.
