Which drinks will rot our tooth enamel?

Class 3/4 is carrying out an experiment to find out which drinks are good and which are bad for our teeth.

Firstly the class discussed how we could carry out this experiment, especially making it a fair test.

We then set up the experiment with hard boiled eggs. The egg shells will mimic tooth enamel. The same measure of liquid was then poured over each egg and left for a week.

The liquids we are testing are: full fat coke, milk, orange juice, water, vinegar, sugar-free squash and coffee (for Mrs Butler and Mrs Burr to see the results!).

So votes in!  Which shells will dissolve and discolour and which won't? We'll find out next week.
