Willam Ransom against Oughton in a home League game.

On Tuesday November 5th Oughton boys travelled to William Ransom to play one another for the second time this term, but this time it was a League game.

As it was firework night and the Oughton team were depleted of year 6 boys the match was slightly shorter than usual. The William Ransom boys made an early attack and Oughton spent most of the game putting up a gallant defence.

Craig was the first to score with a great volley and Oliver followed shortly after. The second half saw two goals from Charlie, another by Craig and a goal from Edward just before the end. With cheers and handshakes all round at the end, Jaffa cakes were consumed with relish and all players had left by the time it was really dark.

With the night drawing in, William Ransom has an away match in the Wix at Wilshere Dacre next Thursday and depending on the result the possibility of one further game before Christmas.
