William Ransom at 40

To celebrate the opening of the school 40 years ago we held a ‘giant tea party’ in the school on the afternoon of 20th April.

The weather had been so unpredictable in the days leading up to the event that a decision was taken to hold it inside and it actually worked much better. All of Reception and Key Stage 1 sat round tables in the dining room and Key Stage 2 all packed into the hall.

The afternoon started with a whole school rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ to William Ransom and the children had made flags and bunting to decorate the school.

Each class had organised their own food and there was plenty to go around!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the afternoon; it was a great success!
