William Ransom play Wilshere Dacre in the second round of the Wix Cup

What a game this turned out to be! The William Ransom boys must have tried every shot and combination of passes they knew to get a goal. With over twelve attempts in the first half alone the Wilshere Dacre keeper managed to get to everything. If his hands didn’t save the ball some part of his body did.

At half time a change of play by both teams saw many more attempts by William Ransom and some action for Louix who made a couple of good saves. As the parents were all thinking extra time and the dreaded penalties, Ben reacted quickly as the keeper came out to the ball and chipped it over him. The relief was tangible, although everyone felt sorry for their poor keeper who had made so many amazing saves.

William Ransom now have to wait to see who they have to play in the next round but we hope that this game can be arranged very soon.
