The Girls fought their way through an incredibly tough semi-final in their football match today.
After going two nil down, to an excellent Ickleford side, the girls fought hard and didn’t give up.
They were then rewarded by two inspirational solo goals from Lily and Emma to bring them back level.
This took us into extra-time, where the girls went behind again. With time running out Isobel was moved into a more attacking position, where she quickly capitalised on some excellent wide play from Lily for the equaliser.
This took us to the dreaded penalties! Fortunately we had the superstar that is Manasvi in goal. She saved two penalties and the third hit the post, sending us through to the final.
Having both teams reach the finals for our district is a super achievement and we our very proud of all of the children who took part.
