What an array of different books, interesting characters and amazing costumes!
It was great to hear about the children’s favourite books today and why they enjoyed reading them so much.
We made a shortlist of authors and then all voted for our favourite – Roald Dahl came out top! Then we voted for our favourite of his books, which was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Finally, we listed the characters in that book and voted for our favourite – Charlie Bucket was the winner.
In the afternoon we took part in the Key Stage 1 quiz. The children really enjoyed it and worked well in their house teams to answer the questions.
