Everyone in school was captivated by World Book Day 2017!
The school had decided to focus upon the characters in Roald Dahl books and Julia Donaldson books and it was a wonderful sight as all those different characters arrived in school.
Throughout the week there had been an emphasis on story telling oin our literacy lessons and this culminated in a great day on Thursday as the focus was on our two main story tellers.
Key Stage 1 focussed primarily on Julia Donaldon and there were Gruffalo, Scarecrows, crocodiles to name just a few of the characters on show!
Key Stage 2 focussed on Roald Dahl where there were a whole range of entertaining characters. Maple and Beech Classes had a Roald Dahl treasure hunt where they learned more about his books.
It was a great day, everyone worked hard and those who were achievers this week were awarded a special Golden Ticket by William Ransom's own Willie Wonka!
