As we have been learning about Neil Armstrong and his trip to the moon, Class 1R decided to take a look at the rest of the solar system. We discussed the different planets, ordering them and trying to learn their names. The children then decided which planet (or star or satellite) they wanted to make. During two rather messy afternoons, the children used papier mache to create their planet shapes and then painted them, carefully mixing colours to make it look like their chosen planet.
