At last the staff return to school!

After a couple of false starts the staff returned to school today after a 5 week gap!

We assembled in the school entrance this morning and put on our hard hats and everyone had their first tour of all the work that has been done!

Our Willmott Dixon team have worked incredibly hard whilst we have been away and the school is almost ready for us to move in. There are still things to be finished but we have every confidence that all the classrooms will be ready to receive children on Wednesday 7th September.

The new classrooms and communal areas all look amazing and the refurbishment in the new school is incredible – who knew we had so much space!

All those hundreds of crates we packed at the end of term are being moved to different rooms and then the unpacking starts. At the moment it is hard to see where everything will go, and it will take us a few weeks to find homes for everything, but once it is done, it will be great.

We are still looking at playgrounds and access gates and we will post messages on this website and on Twitter to let you know which gates will be open for pupils next week.

There will still be some external works to be done, but any areas still being worked on will be secured carefully and the children will not be able to access any site areas.

Once term has started and is in full swing we will open the school in an evening for parents to come and have a look!!

Meanwhile, enjoy a few more photos!
