On Monday, in preparation for the start of Chinese New Year on Tuesday, we learnt some facts about China and its culture. The children have really enjoyed learning about how the lunar new year is celebrated in China and have used this as inspiration for lots of independent learning in Discover & Do.
Learning continued on the Three Billy Goats Gruff, with more bridges built and trolls made. The children also made up their own alternative versions of the story and drew then on a story map. The children had no problem using their imaginations and were great storytellers!
Amazing maths work this week on different ways to make 6 using part whole models. And some great independent learning using the whiteboards and tens frames in the outdoor area.
