The Herts Sports Partnership Service to Sport Awards 2012 was held last night at the University of Hertfordshire. With host David Croft, a Sky Sports F1 presenter it was an inspiring and rewarding evening.
This was the first time William Ransom had been nominated for this award. Sponsored by Excel Sport, there were eight schools in the category, three of which were Hitchin schools.(William Ransom, St.Andrew’s and Breachwood Green)
The Awards were judged by an independent judging panel that represented a variety of sport and physical activity organisations. William Ransom received the third place award, with St. Paul’s C of EVA Primary School second and Breachwood Green coming first in the group.
A great evening of sport with some inspiration contributions from Etienne Stott-team GB canoe slalom (C2), gold medallist and David Clarke the Paralympics GB 5-a-side football team captain.
