Information from Mrs Driver

Welcome to Charlotte May Wheat!

I am sure that by now you have all heard that Mrs Wheat had a baby girl last Thursday morning, 8th January, weighing 6lbs and 15oz. They are both home from hospital and Mother and baby are doing very well. I am sure you will join me in congratulating Mr & Mrs Wheat on the birth of Charlotte May and in wishing them all well.

Please remember to sign up to PTA Social to keep up to date with all the news of events from the SPA. They will still use the school website and Twitter to tell people what they are doing, but PTA Social is great for people to sign up to get involved in the events they are running. It worked really well for the Winter Wonderland and thinking ahead we would like to make use of it again for the Summer Fete in June. If you have any queries ask a member of the SPA or come in and talk to us in school.

Don’t forget we have invited you all to a Parent Forum on Thursday 22nd January at 8.55. If you would like to attend, please come and tell the office so we know how many to expect.

This is your final chance to order your CD of the Christmas photos. All orders must be received by Friday 16th January so if you haven’t placed yours yet, come and see us in the office!

Don’t forget the Family Bingo on Friday 16th at 6.30pm. There are the last few tickets remaining. £2 for adults and £1 for children. A good, fun night is guaranteed! I look forward to seeing you there!

It is important to remember that if your child has suffered from any kind of vomiting bug, they must be absent from school for at least 24 hours. We do not want any bugs to spread and they all need time to recover. Could I also remind you that it is a parents’ responsibility to ensure all inhalers and epi-pens kept in school are ‘in date’?

Please remember that we are a ‘nut free’ environment so products containing nuts must not be brought into school or included in packed lunches.

If you have anything you wish to discuss with me, please do not hesitate to come and see me.

Yours sincerely
Mary Driver
