Christmas Shows
We are now into the week of our Christmas Shows so I thought I would just re-affirm the arrangements for the evening concerts. The shows start at 6.30pm each evening. KS2 children need to be back in school by 6.00pm and KS1 by 6.20. The show will finish at approximately 8.00pm and all children MUST be collected promptly by an adult. Children will leave school from different doors around the school as follows:
Hazel & Pine – from the doors by the old reception classroom.
Chestnut & Cherry from the door at the end of the Infant corridor by Pine Class.
Cedar – from the back fire door of the Old 5/6A classroom.
Maple, Willow & Beech from the end of the covered walkway into the playground which will be open for parents to wait in.
Please check with your children which door they will be leaving through.
We are allowing children to have a rolling start to the day on the mornings after concerts i.e. 14th, 15th & 16th December. The registers will remain open until 10.00am. Anyone arriving after 10.00 will be recorded as late! If children in Oak and Ash have a sibling in an older class, they may also come in late on those days to alleviate any difficulties at home!
I hope that is all clear. I am afraid there are no extra tickets for any of the performances.

Selection boxes
Thank you so much for the donation of all the selection boxes. We sent 53 boxes to the Hitchin Partnership and they will form part of the Christmas Hamper distribution this Christmas.

Christmas top
As in previous years on our Christmas lunch day – Tuesday 20th December, we are allowing children to wear a Christmas top. If you wish your child to take part please send in £1 which will go to Save the Children. They must still wear school uniform but instead of their school jumpers they can wear a Christmas top! A word of warning though – it does get very warm in school so a Christmas T-Shirt is fine!

Speeding
I have had a number of comments regarding the speed that cars travel down Wymondley Road. Clearly this is out of my jurisdiction but I thought I would bring it to your attention. I have been told that a zebra crossing is imminent but in the meantime I would hate for anything to happen to one of our children or our wonderful lollipop lady. Please be mindful of your speed at all times!

Please remember if you have any concerns do not hesitate to make an appointment and come and see me.

Yours sincerely
Mary Driver
