Quidditch Day

Year 5 and 6 had so much fun learning a new sport this week. Quidditch (from the Harry Potter series) is a fast, physical and highly active sport which is growing fast in popularity. It certainly proved very popular with Year 5 with one football fanatic in Rowan class stating, ‘It’s even better than football!’

The day started with an assembly where children were allocated a Hogwarts House using a sorting hat. Each of our four school Houses then became either Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff for the day. They could earn points in Quidditch but also in class for good behaviour or work. Importantly, they could also have points deducted for poor decisions or behaviour.

The day was a roaring success with super agility and teamwork shown throughout the Quidditch Games!
