The Great Fire of London

The autumn term was an extremely exciting time in class 1/2. As part of our History work we were learning about The Great Fire of London. This provided us with a lot of fun lessons, where everyone became experts about the fire. We had a visit from the fire service and at the end of the term we had our very own fire.

While learning about the fire, we learnt a lot about Tudor houses and took this into our D&T lessons, where we each made our own house. This provided us with our very own street, which we then set fire to. We watched as the fire spread from the first house, along the rooftops, until all houses were destroyed.

We then shared our work with the rest of the school in a class assembly. Please have a look at the pictures of our houses and the videos of our fire and our assembly. We hope you enjoy them!
