After all the work Rowan class have done on this insightful book – The ONLY way is Badger – we decided that the ending wasn’t to our satisfaction.
We loved the book and it helped us look at and discuss so many issues including prejudice and discrimination, but we decided we weren’t completely satisfied. Although Badger apologises to his friends for his ‘wrong doings’ at the end, we decided that to ensure that he didn’t go down this path of prejudice again, we could add to the ending to help Badger learn from his mistakes.
The children took on the role of author / illustrator in the style of the book, to finish it in a way that helped Badger learn and move forward. Here are a selection of their works, just click on them to enlarge.
