Twas the month before Christmas…

Twas the month before Christmas and all through the school,
[Not-so] Little elves were preparing the classrooms and Hall.
The track was laid down and the train polished up,
Santa’s grotto was twinkling and there was a BIG Christmas Pup.

The scene was set the night before, and in the morning the levels of excitement from the children met at the door by Santa’s elves was through the roof!

Once in, they lined up ready for the train to depart. DING DING went the bell, and they were off… Down the track, through the snowy festive dining room, and arrived at the end of the line… Santa’s grotto.

Santa greeted them warmly, answered their questions and they settled down for a story. The children listened intently and were rewarded with a gift from Santa before returning to their parents.

Back in the hall, the parents enjoyed a hot drink and a bacon roll while they waited, then reunited with their children, they perused the Christmas gift stall, guessed the name of the Pug, bought toys, fed the children sweets from the Governors, ate cake and made Christmas crafts.

A fun time was had by all, and an amazing £1330 was raised for the school. We’ll keep you posted on Mrs Driver’s spending plans!
