What a great day Year 4 had with History Off The Page! There’s nothing quite like immersing yourself in a topic and their Anglo-Saxon day certainly allowed them to do that. They started the morning by stepping back in time and turning their hands to a variety of different activities. They had the choice of candle making, jewellery designing, creating runes and even taking a trip to the medicine woman. There was also an opportunity to practise their bow and arrow and fighting skills ready for battle against the Vikings all in time for lunch. In the afternoon, the focus fell to archaeology and timelines and it’s easy to see from the photographs how much they enjoyed the day as well as how many different experiences they had to learn from.
