Year 5’s new science unit this term is all about materials. The class have decided that they are already enjoying this unit as it involves lots of experiments!
We have looked at what properties we know materials have and have planned and taken part in some initial experiments to test these theories.
We are gearing up to design our own useful items that will be perfect for their function because of what we know (and have tested) about their properties. No more hopeless coffee cups or coats for us – we will be super informed and prepared in planning our own, made from only the finest and most carefully chosen products!
