As part of our latest Design and Technology project, Year 6 have been designing, making and evaluating their very own cushion cover. They began by exploring a number of cushions and evaluating their functional and aesthetic features, before practising the skills they would need to use to make a cushion. They began to practise sewing, adding fastenings and then embellishments, before using their skills independently to create some fantastic cushions. They reflected on what they had made and learnt.
