Year 2s had a great afternoon outside yesterday learning how to be safe on their scooters!
They learnt all about the importance of using their brake and not just jumping off the scooter. They thought about all the potential things they might meet on a path when scooting such as people and animals. The children showed great steering skills when weaving in and out of cones and showed they could stop when asked!
The final and most important lesson of the afternoon was learning about the reversing light on the back of a car. All the children now know that if they are passing a driveway they must check the car that might be reversing and if they see white light they must stop!
